Choose THREE contemporary artists YOU believe are today's top artists worthy of respect, recognition, and influence.
Research these artists' motivations, processes, portfolios, and personal stories. Take notes about these artists in your Art Journal.
Choose ONE of these artists and create a Google slide presentation of your chosen artist's work. Provide personal history, notable portfolio pieces, artist motivation, and any other evidence of why you believe this artist to be the most noteworthy contemporary artist.
Be ready to present your work to the class and lead an art criticism/VTS discussion with your classmates.

Students will complete a drawing of a chosen stuffy using 5+ values, including pure black and pure white.
Students will use their best effort to make a quality drawing with attention to size, proportion, and details.
Students will implement excellent mark-making techniques, showing smooth transitions, consistent brushwork, and artistic effort.
Students will display a positive attitude and show perseverance during studio time.
Students will be graded on a rubric. They will be given drawing assistance if they request it. They can also work from a photograph of their chosen stuffy.
